**A hundred year old man and his 98 year old wife were asked what was the secret to their amazing great healthy life. ' I'll tell you a secret. We've been married for 75 years. I promised my wife when we got married that when we quarreled, I would walk 5 miles. So, I've been walking 5 miles every day for the past 75 years.' Everyone applauded and asked again, 'But how about your wife? How come she is so healthy as well?'
The old man answered, 'That's another secret. For 75 years, every single day, she has been following me to make sure I really walk the full 5 miles!'

The Nordheim FFA Stock Show will be held on Saturday, January 25, at the Nordheim FFA Show Barn. The market judging and breeding animals showing will begin at 9 a.m. So far, there are 59 animals entered. To help the buyers who will be bidding on the animals at 2 p.m. the auction will need your support. If you want to donate to this cause, you may contact either Gordon Reynolds, Ray Leister, or any board member of the committee who will sponsor in helping the Show become a great success. Sponsors are also needed for the ribbons, belt buckles, and Grand & Reserve Champions banners. So, if you choose to support in that way, you may.
The Arts, Food, Craft, and Model Show will be held across the street inside the school with judging beginning at 9 a.m. also. Winners will be announced after the bidding of the animals.
The Concession Stand will be open inside the barn and will sponsor the 2026 Senior Class. The Nordheim Stock Show 'Tickets of Chance ' will be open until 12 noon and winners will be announced at 1:30 pm.
Come and show your support for the 'Event of the Day' and you will surely see the community in action as people here help give the students a high five for their great effort in raising and showing animals as well as making crafts and foods.
We've had two freezes so far with a sprinkle of rain. It feels a lot like winter, doesn't it? It really has been mild so far compared to what's going on in the rest of the country. Really feel fortunate to be living this far south. Sure is nice to be retired to be able to drink hot coffee in the morning and then retire at night with a hot cup of hot chocolate cocoa. Everyone at KK knows that feeling. We had eight show up this week for our weekly morning KK with lots of goodies and conversations. It don't get no better than that.
The workers on the Hwy 72 didn't get much of a chance to do much work due to the weather but every time they did work, they didn't hesitate to get busy. It seems so far, that some of the streets in Nordheim that ends at the highway, will maybe be permanent. Here's hoping.
So many things going on around us with politics being the most topics of each day. Murders, violence, crimes of all sorts, and things going to hell, I don't watch TV anymore. When I did watch, all the commercials wanted me to donate for this and that, buy things I don't need, feel worse than I did, make me regular, see my doctor, my psychiatrist, attorney, stink pretty, quell odor, buy gold, and on and on and on. If it wasn't for my two cats, four goats, Lola, and an occasional possum eating the cat food, I'd go completely nuts! See you on the better side of this life.
