The Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent (WSGC) recognized StudioBuilt by Amherst as the region's 2024 Local Employer of Excellence. StudioBuilt accepted the award at the Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) 27th Annual Texas Workforce Conference held Dec. 4 - Dec. 6, 2024, in Grapevine. Local Workforce Development Boards nominate employers who make a positive impact on workers, the community, and the state through their partnerships with Texas Workforce Solutions.
StudioBuilt launched its first housing studio in Cuero by purchasing and revitalizing a previously closed textile factory which helped restore the 200+ jobs that were lost when the textile mill closed in 2016. Through this capital investment, combined with local community outreach and engagement with area trade schools, StudioBuilt has filled the facility’s manufacturing jobs by hiring locally from Cuero and surrounding areas. The roles include valuable technical training, as well as specialized skills training development for modular housing production. Further, in addition to having representation on our Board of Directors, StudioBuilt is actively involved with Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent (WSGC), participating in all job fairs, career exploration events, and other sponsored activities, continually collaborating with WSGC to make a positive impact on area youth and workers. As a trusted and integral industry partner in our community, StudioBuilt has worked with educational institutions, food banks and other non-profit partners by providing both capital and human resources to instill themselves as a charitable partner invested in our community’s well-being and growth.
StudioBuilt’s core pillars of; Community Engagement, Innovative Practices, Commitment to Employee Development, Integrity, and Exemplary Leadership align with WSGC's core values and mission, and we are not only grateful for our partnership, but are honored to recognize StudioBuilt as Golden Crescent’s Local Employer of Excellence.
