Dorothy Jablonski Dueser Brown passed away January 28, 2025, at the age of 93.
Dorothy was born in Yorktown Texas on October 10, 1931, in DeWitt County, to Henry and Agnes (Tam) Jablonski.
Dorothy grew up on a farm, in which she learned how to live off the land, the value of hard work and raised with the love of family and God. Lessons she carried throughout her long life. She lived in Yorktown Texas most of her life and raised her family there. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Yorktown. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends, cooking, gardening, sitting on her porch and watching nature, playing a serious game of Dominoes, playing Bingo, watching Football and during her second marriage she had the opportunity to travel the United States as well as Canada, Nova Scotia and parts of Mexico.
She married George H. Dueser on June 10, 1950, in Yorktown. They had 4 children, Anthony, Douglas, Georgia Lynn, and Jerome. They were married for almost 34 years prior to his death March 11, 1984. She later married Luzerne Brown on June 1, 1992; until his death in 2006.
She is survived by her son, Anthony (Linda) Dueser of Victoria; daughter, Georgia (Robert) Matejek of Yorktown; daught er-in-law, Shirley Dueser of Yorktown; grandchildren; Rebecca (Adam) Charles, Johanna (Joseph) Warwas, Karl Dueser, George (Sonya) Dueser, Mathew Matejek, Nicole (John) Bauer, Garrett (Lora) Dueser; and Jeromy Dueser; step-grandchildren, Damian (Lauren) Fanelli, and Roman (Kristin) Fanelli; 20 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Ben Parma; sister-in-law, Patricia Jablonski.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, George Dueser and Luzerne Brown; sons, Douglas Dueser and Jerome Dueser; step-grandson, Matthew Fanelli; brother, Henry Jablonski, Jr; sisters, Adele Walker, Lorene Dlugosch, infant sister Josephine Jablonski, Elaine Laake, Margaret Williams, and Joyce Parma.
A visitation was held at Finch Funeral Chapel, Yorktown, Texas on Saturday, February 8, 2025, with funeral services 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Westside Cemetery in Yorktown Texas, with Father Scott Hill officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Cross Catholic Church or of Donor’s choice.
