Newest historical marker going up February 25

The public is invited to the dedication of a new historical marker installed at the English German School, 205 North Terrell on the grounds of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum, on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m. The School received a historical medallion in 1963 and a small interpretive plate in 1965. Both are attached to the building. The new marker is on a post, is larger, and has additional information about the school’s signifi cance to the community in the late 1800s before free public schools were established in Cuero.
