William L. “Bill” Cusack Sr.


William L. “Bill” Cusack Sr., 83, of Cuero, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2013.
Bill was born on April 9, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Chuck Cusack and Ann Hamilton Cusack. Survivors include his wife Lucy of 40 years; his children Anna Christine Cusack, William L. Cusack Jr., and his wife, Lee Ann, Stephen E. Cusack, and his wife Lydia, David H. Cusack and his wife Marichita, Lynde E. Stubbs, and her husband, Randy, Mark E. Cusack, and his wife, Shana, Patrick F. Cusack and Julie Blacklock, and her husband, Sean; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, a brother and other relatives. 
A life-long rancher in DeWitt County, Bill had also been employed as a banker, in the natural gas industry and as a real estate broker. Bill always enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, traveling and when he could work it in, a game of golf. Bill was proud of being a fifth generation rancher in DeWitt County and a descendant of the Hamilton family who first settled in the Cuero area in 1850. 
His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at the Cuero First Presbyterian Church, 302 N. McLeod St., Cuero, Texas 77954 on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Bill Cotman and Father David Berger are expected to officiate.
