AA, Al-Anon meetings offered in town


   Thomas Sheuchenko has been sober for 40 years. He said he takes it one day at a time, but he credits his participation in Alcoholics Anonymous for his success. Now he wants to offer the resource that helped him to others in Cuero.
   “There are millions of people who have achieved another 24 hours of sobriety,” Sheuchenko said. “That’s how it works, one day at a time. Personally, I don’t look forward to next week. But I get up in the morning and start by thanking a higher power, who I call God.”
