Lady Gobblers win Apache game

On March 28, the Lady Gobblers played the Gonzales Apaches at home in a last inning, teeth grinding game. The Lady Gobblers won 4-3.
It all came down to the seventh inning. Cuero was ahead 4-0, and up to this point Maddie Simpson had pitched a no hitter. The Lady Gobbler defense was solid.
The Apaches found a sweet spot as they would put three hits deep into left field scoring their three runs. The Apaches tried to continue to provoke the Lady Gobblers but with two outs, their streak came to an end with a grounder, hit to second baseman, Tiffani Shellenbarger, where she threw out the runner at first.
