Louis Dwight Johnson, 81, of Yorktown, died Sunday April 7, 2013.
He was born Nov. 29, 1931 in McAllen to the late Clarence and Elsie Harrison Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Gwen Johnson of Yorktown, daughters Debbie Sturm of Yorktown and Paula Johnson of Branson, Mo., sons Ronny (Cheryl) Smith of Mission, L.C. (Rosanna) Smith of San Antonio, Lester (Donna) Smith of Mission, and Dwight (Lindsey) Johnson of Neodosha, Kan., sisters Juanita Pearson, Rachel Dunn and Lucille (Warren) McClain; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers J.W. Johnson, Paul Johnson and Merle Johnson.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday April 10 at the First Baptist Church in Yorktown. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday April 11 at the First Baptist Church in Yorktown with the Rev. Mark Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ron Smith, A.J Sturm, Trevor Meuth, Brandon Meuth, Beau Smith, Cody Smith, Matthew Bruns and Tyler Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Massey, Jim Bruns, Richard King, Ethan Smith, Braden Smith, Bailor Smith, Jack King, Hayden Meuth and Ezra Johnson.
