Lady Gobblers win Giddings game 15-5

It was a rough start for the Lady Gobblers as they played against Giddings on April 9 at home.
After the top of the first inning the Lady Buffalos scored three runs but not without the assistance of the Lady Gobblers.
“We expected them to look like the last time,” said Chelsea Veit.
After several errors, coach Cassie Fallon told the girls, “They did not come here to lose.” That was all it took for the girls to turn the game around earning themselves another win, 15-5.
“Our bats came alive and we reduced our base running errors,” said Veit.
Maddie Simpson had zero walks, two KOs and eight hits.
Offensively, Audrey Simpson went four for five with one RBI, four runs, and one stolen base. Courtney Clark went three for four with four RBIs, one double and four runs. Maddie Simpson went two for four with three RBIs and two doubles.    Justyce Turner went three for four with three RBIs and one run.
On April 12 the Lady Gobblers played their last away district game  against Yoakum.
The last time these two teams met Cuero won 8-4. That was not the case this time around as Yoakum took the Lady Gobblers down, 11-1.
The Lady Gobblers are 6-3 district and 21-9 overall.
The Lady Gobblers will play their last district game at home against Smithville on April 16.
