Cuero Turkeyfest Association announces 2013 events and race team

Since the conclusion of last year's festival, the committee members of the Cuero Turkeyfest Association have been hard at work planning for the 2013 festival. During an online cross-platform reveal event dubbed Turkey Tuesday on April 30, this year’s entertainment lineup, children’s events, and Ruby Begonia Race Team were announced.
The Cuero Turkeyfest Association is pleased to announce that the Randy Rogers Band will headline Friday night’s dance. The Randy Rogers Band has made a name for themselves by touring Texas and the rest of the nation in support of their numerous hits as well as their brand new album titled “Trouble.” They will bring a classic Red Dirt country sound to Cuero in October. Supporting acts will be The Trevor Cole Band and Pop Rocks Ugly.
Headlining Saturday night’s lineup will be Kyle Park. His new album, “Beggin’ For More,” has already scored two number one hits on the Texas Music Charts during its short tenure. Earlier acts that day include The Texas Tornados, Dale Watson & His Lonestars, The Rankin Twins and I-69.
Turkeyfest also boasts a robust collection of family events this year. Returning acts such as children’s tractor pull, turkey egg hunt and race your own turkey will be joined by new favorites gator the clown, kids’ celebration family game show, and AXE Women Loggers of Maine.
In addition to the entertainment, the 2013 Ruby Begonia Race Team was announced. The team, which will have the duty of defending the Traveling Turkey Trophy of Tumultuous Triumph, consists of Coach Terri Warwas, Captain Clayton Lantz, and handlers Clint Clark and Mary Beth Finney.
