Jacqueline “Jackie” Schultz Kries, age 65, passed away on May 28, 2013 in San Antonio.
She graduated from Cuero High School and received her bachelor’s at the University of Incarnate Word. Jackie was very active with the city of Kirby. She and her husband were recently recognized for their service to Kirby by Governor Rick Perry and Kirby Mayor Timothy Wilson.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman and Alta Schultz of Cuero; step-mothers Bernice Dromgoole and Mabel Schultz of Cuero and step-brother Glen “Bubba” Dromgoole.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Peter B. Kries; step-brother Don Dromgoole of Ingleside; brother-in-law Vernon Snodderly of Newman, Calif. and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, friends and her special canine companion, Christy.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 4, in San Antonio with entombment at the Sunset Serenity Mausoleum. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
