Main Street program plans KidFest

The Cuero Main Street program is planning their first event for downtown Cuero. KidFest will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 20 on East Main Street from Gonzales Street to Stockdale Street. Cuero Main Street’s KidFest will be part of the annual Staycation program which is sponsored by the City of Cuero and the Cuero Development Corporation.
Plans for the event include inflatables, water slides and water games, a gaming truck, magic shows, music, food, contests and races.
“KidFest is going to bring families back downtown. This is the heartbeat of our city and where our history is,” said Bridgette Bise, Main Street director. “We want parents to pass of the heritage of our historic downtown to their children and grandchildren. One way the event will do this is through the historic scavenger hunt. After they complete the hunt they can win on of our big prizes.”
KidFest is free to the public. All who register have a chance to win one of several prizes including two vacation packages to New Braunfels and South Padre Island.
