Kenneth Alan Kilgore, 57, of Sugar Land, passed away on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013.
He was a native of Silver Spring, Md., and graduated from Sharpstown High School in Houston in 1974. Ken proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Navy. Following his service to his country, he served the city of Houston as an officer for the Houston Police Department. He was an active member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Monica Boldt Kilgore, formerly of Yorktown; his mother, Betty of Sugar Land; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick (Leah dee) of Atlanta, Keith (Ellen) of The Woodlands, and Scott of Houston.
He joins his father, Roy; uncles, Don Kilgore and Ted Biggs; aunts, Esther Kilgore and Phyllis Biggs, in eternal life.
A rosary followed by visitation was held at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Missouri City on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 at 7:30 pm. Funeral mass was Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. also at St. Angela Merici. Memorial mass will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
