Benefit for Molly Coffman

There will be a benefit beef stew and bake sale for Molly Coffman on Sunday, Dec. 1, from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Rudy’s Country Store & Ice, 252 Hwy. 72, Yorktown.
Molly Coffman is a 22 year-old student at University of Houston-Victoria majoring in special education. She was just recently diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph node system, during her 34th week of pregnancy. She is having to deliver at 37 weeks so that treatments can start the second week of December.  The family is asking for prayer that she can handle these chemo treatments well with little side effects as possible so that she can enjoy her new blessing from God.
Anyone wanting to donate baked goods are asked to bring them by Sunday morning at 8 a.m. to Rudy’s. For more information on baked goods, contact Sylvia Hernandez at 361-564-3492 or Leslie Voelkel 361-275-1391.
For questions or donations contact Kathy Frels at 361-649-1137, Brenda Nash at 361-550-4268, Michelle M. Perez at 512-913-4932 or Irma Ortiz at 361-935-0066.
The Yorktown High School class of 2010 will also be holding a fundraiser for Molly. More details to follow.
