85 pigs at this year's Swine Prospect Show

Dear Editor,
We would like to thank Tim for the article about our Swine Prospect Show in the Jan. 8 editions of the Cuero Record and the Yorktown News-View. We have been averaging 30-40 animals the past six years. But this year, with the newspaper’s help and the weather, we had 85 pigs for the show, the best turnout since we started.
We may be able to give three or four $1,000 scholarships this year in addition to the prizes we pass out to winners of the different swine judging and showmanship events.
Also, the show coordinator is Albert Jahnsen. I am the PR man and pass on the info. This show is held under the auspices of the Cuero Masonic Lodge. Again, thank you very much.
J.C. Hull
P.S. We still did not have the participation from Cuero as we hoped for.
