Gobblers lose April 4 La Grange game in last inning


The Cuero Gobblers held La Grange at the April 4 home game for six full innings without a flaw but fell.
The Gobblers took an early lead at the bottom of the second 1–0. Cuero kept La Grange down with only one hit until the top of the seventh.
La Grange started off with a hard grounder to short stop. The next two batters bunted and reached base on errors allowing the first base runner to score. With runners on second and third and the score tied, Austin Johnson struck out the next batter for the first out.
