Baros is recipient of Rotary Club Dewey Award


The Cuero Rotary honors Debra Baros with the Dewey Award. The Dewey Award is named after a fellow Rotarian, Dewey Henderson, and it is given to someone who has given much to their community and has demonstrated service above self.
Baros grew up in Westhoff and graduated from Texas A&M University with a master’s degree in education. She was in the first group of females to graduate from the university.
Baros has always been committed to quality education. Some of her key accomplishments include initiation the Cuero ISD Education Foundation that annually awards monies to teachers for creative grants and innovative projects.
