The Cuero High School Bell Ceremony was held May 22. Pearson Reese presented an award to Tina Parker. Following is Reese's dedication speech.
Everyone we come in contact with influences us in one way or another. Whether it be good or bad, whether we want it or not, we are always being influenced. At this point in our lives, some of the people that have the greatest opportunity to impact us are our educators. Through the past 12 years of my life I have had a handful or people who have left everlasting impressions on me, but there is one person I wish to recognize for the extraordinary impact this person has made on me.
When this person first came to Cuero, I didn’t know what to think. Some days this individual appeared to be a pretty cool person. Other days, we would argue about whether points should be deducted for leaving my class number off my assignments. I have had this teacher for three years of high school. Granted, I enjoy the subject this teacher teaches, so I expected to learn from this person. What I didn’t expect was that I would grow to enjoy and appreciate this teacher as much as I did and make all the great classroom memories I have today.
