Albert Kueker, 84, of Cuero, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014.
He was born July 30, 1929 in Lindenau to the late Robert George and Mary Laura Cunningham Kueker. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Albert began working at H.B. Zachary. He married Charlyn Rau on December 12, 1952 in Lindenau. Albert was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and a past member of the American Legion.
He is survived by sons, Michael B. Kueker and wife, Donna, Gary Wayne Kueker, and Charles Robert Kueker and wife, Diana; siblings; Bill Kueker and wife, Sheila, Wanda Huey, Johnny Kueker and wife, Esther, Anna Schlinke and husband, Harold, Eunice Lee, Roy Kueker and wife, Kathy, and Betty Jo Afflerbach and husband, Curtis; grandchildren, Maegan, Whitney, and Laura; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Charlyn Kueker; and brothers, Robert Kueker, Kenneth Kueker, and Ralph Kueker; and sisters, Rose Mary Young and Dorothy Matejek.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with the Rev. John Kueker and the Rev. John Boor officiating. Interment will follow at Lindenau Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Mike Kueker, Gary Kueker, Chuck Kueker, Roy Kueker, Leon Dohmann, and Perry Gentry. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Watson, Dennis Nagel, Bill Kueker, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Gordon Barth and staff and Hospice of South Texas for their wonderful care and compassion and a special thank you to our two very wonderful friends, Carol Moses and Melanie Jacob.
