Dear Editor,
As an appreciation to the City of Yorktown employees, the Mayor and City Council Members, DeWitt County Sheriff/Yorktown Deputies, and Justices of the Peace Peggy Mayer and Blanca McBride, the Keep Yorktown Beautiful organization hosted a Christmas luncheon on Dec. 6 at the
Horizon Room of Citizens Bank. A delicious meal of smoked pork loin,
salads, vegetables, homemade bread, rolls, and desserts were enjoyed by
all in attendance.
After the meal, door prizes were drawn and shared with the lucky winners.
Many thanks are extended to the following local businesses for graciously donating the door prizes: Apple Lumber Company, Citizens Bank, 5D Steakhouse & Lounge, Fraulein’s Boutique and Home Décor, Gerhardt’s Jewelry, Lowe’s, M. H. Leske, Shear Designs, The Kraege Drug Store, The Rhinestone Antler Boutique and The Texan.
