Dear Editor,

I am pretty sure “Thank you” is not a big enough expression. On behalf of Fräulein’s Boutique and Home Decor and Dare to Dream full-Service Salon and Boutique, we want to extend our appreciation to the Yorktown community for coming together Wednesday, August 11, for the Back to School Bash.

We are estimating that close to 300 people attended the event. Local businesses collected an abundance of school supplies and we also received monetary donations to purchase more supplies. These supplies will be distributed to YISD, NISD, RISD, and The Learning Garden Pre-K class.

Vendors who participated include:

Yorktown CATS organization, Lucy Matek Mary Kay, Yorktown ABC, Cuero Regional Hospital & Clinic, Trust Texas Bank, Sara Watson-Grams Craft room, Barry Watson CPA, Skinny’s Fireworks, Osburne Books- Miranda and Breanne, Paparazzi jewelry- Pam Mokwa, Yorktown EMS, Melissa Buus, Stir Soda Truck, The Texan, Shear Designs, B.
