Chamber hold WSOC, thank Miss Cuero float sponsors

Dear Editor,

The Cuero Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who attended our 11th annual Texas Hold’ Em World Series of Cuero fundraising event. We had 143 players participating in the Texas Hold’ Em main event. Jared Coburn was the big winner! Receiving $2500 in cash value prizes and a custom bracelet donated by Deutsch & Deutsch.

Second place was James Long winning $1,400 in cash value prizes and a custom belt buckle sponsored by Ilene Gohmert, CPA, LLC. The Hallettsville Starz provided black jack, roulette, and craps tables that spectators and those booted off the tables early could enjoy. New this year was a Shopper’s Poker Run. Winning hand was Kristi Tieken winning $300 cash value prize.

Thank to the Cuero Turkeyfest board members and the Pecan House for preparing and cooking the delicious turkey fried turkey meal and the Main Street Kaffee Haus & Deli for the delicious salads. Everyone really enjoyed the meal! The World Series of Cuero proceeds assists the Chamber with providing leadership and business development programs in the community.

This event would not be possible without the help of our sponsors and donations from community members.
