KYB thankful for donations

Dear Editor,

Keep Yorktown Beautiful (KYB) has been very busy the last few months. Our goal is to make Yorktown more attractive and safer at the same time. We have added new planters and plants to the downtown area. Thanks goes to the businesses who are keeping the plants watered.  We added lights to the trees along the creek. We partnered with the City of Yorktown and others to clean-up the creek. The mulch on the City Playground was recently replaced. That must be done every 2 years. The spring on the Hobby Horse has been replaced or repaired for the third time. This piece of playground equipment is meant for the use of young children, not adults and teenagers! We are awaiting the arrival of 6 new benches for the downtown area.
