A note from the publisher

126 years–that’s how long The Cuero Record has been reporting local news, feature stories and advertising.

We have been through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs with this community. And we are once again on the frontlines with COVID-19 dealing with the fallout and effects that come with it.

This is uncharted territory but The Cuero Record staff is committed to bringing credible, accurate and professional journalism to our readers. We are doing that through a variety of channels – our website, social media and email newsletters are being updated regularly on this ever-changing situation. Our hope is that readers will use us as a trusted source and make the most of this very challenging situation.

It is our job to keep you informed. We are digging in and will continue to be your source for Cuero and DeWitt County news. As a small-town community newspaper we will face our own challenges, and your support of local journalism will strengthen our efforts. We are grateful to have your readership and trust. We would like to thank all of our advertisers and subscribers for their continued support.

We are in this together–Cuero strong.
