Raffle was huge success

Dear Editor,

The DeWitt County Go Texan committee recently raffled off 16 guns for one of their annual fundraising events. The drawing was held in conjunction with their annual chili cooking event, on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020. These two events are held to help build funds for the DeWitt County Go Texan scholarship program. The Go Texan committee thanks all the folks who purchased gun raffle and chili tickets, as these fundraising events were a huge success. The committee especially wants to thank the gun raffle donors, as their financial sponsorship enabled the committee to purchase the guns! The following individuals and businesses were gun sponsors:

Silver Sponsors ($250): Carroll Blank Irrigation, Cornerstone Properties (L.J. Chumchal), Bill Braden, Apple Lumber Co. (Yorktown), Cuero Livestock Commission, Lantz Tire Service, Greg & Linda Nemec, and Brad & Whitney Metting.
