Yorktown Trunk or Treat success

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, I would like to thank the community, organizations, individuals and businesses that helped make the annual “Trunk or Treat” a success. Due to the cold weather a decision was made to host it at the Yorktown Chamber/Western Days/Economic Development headquarters.

Despite the transition, trick-or-treaters had no trouble finding us. It was a fascinating event with many clever costumes, an appearance from “Big Bird”, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf and many others. Our goodie contributors consisted of the following: Yorktown Chamber of Commerce, Yorktown Western Days Association, Trust Texas Bank, St. Paul Lutheran Church, First Baptist Church, Yorktown EMS, Heritage Plumbing Co., Barry Watson,CPA, Yorktown Medical Clinic, Yorktown Lions Club, Dlugosch Industries, Yorktown 4H Club/Seams Like Home, First Presbyterian Church, Buesing Production Services/Contract Guaging, Buch Ranch/Sara Buch and Yorktown Public Library.

We are grateful for their support and look forward to the next “Trunk or Treat” on October 31, 2020.

With sincere thanks,

Tammy Bitterly
