In its’ 25th year, Cuero’s “Let’s Stand Together” Community Thanksgiving continues to provide a glorious feast for all. The dinner is provided fully by donations from the community, and served by volunteers.
An added benefit of the already great event is the delivery of hot, home-cooked meals to members of the community who may be home-bound, or unable to attend the dinner themselves.
For Mary Ann, the community meal is convenient and allows her to feel less stressed during the holiday.
“This meal is great because, not only does the community get together, but it’s easier for those of us who can’t afford to buy for a big meal,” she stated before heading inside the hall.
For folks new to the area, the community dinner allows for conversation and getting to know those involved with different organizations.
