Cuero Chamber of Commerce is proud to present a brand new Miss Cuero parade float just in time for the 2019 Cuero Turkeyfest celebration. The Miss Cuero float has been a large tradition for the Turkeyfest parade, as well as being featured in surrounding festivals.
This year, Miss Cuero and the Chamber were able showcase their new float by a ribbon cutting at the second Tunes ‘N Trucks event at the beginning of August by holding a ribbon cutting ceremony. According to the Chamber, this was the first time an entire new float has been purchased since the 1980’s; the float was constructed in Dallas by Lone Star Parade Floats Co., and features a custom image wrap from Cuero’s own ShaNon Henson with Exibix.
The float features images of Cuero’s Main Street, Ruby Begonia, and features wildflowers and Monarch butterflies, which are popular symbols of Cuero and DeWitt County, along with a removeable name tag for that years’ Miss Cuero.
“We wanted something to promote Cuero while we are away in other towns,” said Chamber Executive Director, Angie Cuellar, “the float features the dates for Turkeyfest, along with Christmas in the Park.”
