At only 13, Hazelynn Hahn was the youngest competitor at the Miss Texas Teen beauty pageant held in Houston from Nov. 24-25. Representing Cuero, the junior higher showed up and showed out, displaying her confidence and determination on the runway. Working up to the pageant, Hahn was ecstatic to hear that her application was accepted over the summer.
“Right away we went looking for dresses,” Hahn laughed during an interview. With her yellow Sherri Hill couture dress selected, Hahn, and her mother Jennifer, looked to the town for support and places to practice her runway walk.
“St. Michael’s helped us first, so everyday after CCD on Wednesday, we would get to practice at their facility, and I was able to practice with my gown and work it.”
She continued, “We also got to practice at [BFit], and they have this room full of mirrors, so I was able to look at everything I was doing–work my dress, work my outfits and practice my facial expressions. It worked really well because I feel like when I went up on stage, I rocked it.”
