Even though this year’s Western Days festival was formally canceled, some traditions continued on like the 40th annual Children’s Parade. Some new ways to celebrate came to be in the form of a virtual parade and the Texas East Backyard Brisket BBQ Cook-Off contest.

Community members came together to provide videos and photographs for the Western Days virtual parade which can be viewed on the Yorktown Western Days’ Facebook page.

This year’s Children’s Parade had the theme of “Adventures in Outer Space”, and boy were the kiddos out of this world!
