Now open bright and early is She Brews, a coffee and blended drink shop run by sister-duo Taylor Watson and Tory Littles located at 112 East Morgan Street in Cuero.

“Tory and I have both wanted to start our own business for a couple of years now,” said Watson during an interview that included a free sample of their strawberry cheesecake protein shake. “We just saw that the building was available and the right opportunity was amongst us so we just jumped on it.”

She continued, “For the past three years, at least a couple times a year, I thought about doing this. I would tell my mom ‘This idea is in my head again, what do I do?’ and she just kept telling me to go for it.”

“This was mainly her dream,” said Littles, “but we still wanted to do our own business, so just getting into the building and  eventually we plan to grow–I wanted to be with my kids more instead of at a 12-hour shift somewhere else.”

“We actually had two different ideas,” Watson laughed, “and somehow we brought them together. For a while, I just wanted to do the straight protein drinks–but then I became an avid coffee drinker.”

Littles’ skills come into play on the fruit and smoothie side of things, but she does have a (secret) plan for the future of She Brews, as well.

Staying busy during their first week open, the girls, both Cuero natives, have seen a large amount of support from the community online.
