Right in the middle of a busy homecoming spirit week, Cuero High School students took a moment before class began to come together for ‘See You at the Pole’, a Christian-based gathering around the flagpole for prayer and worship on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
Reckless for God, a CHS student Christian group, worked to lead this year’s See You at the Pole in conjunction with Trinity Church in Cuero. Pastor at Trinity Church, Jeanine Coppedge was present Wednesday morning to witness some of her church’s youth group join together with their classmates, and mentioned that the youth leadership was amazing.
Joseph Arce, CHS senior and Reckless for God member, notes the reasons why he wanted to be involved in organizing See You at the Pole.
“Well, in the Bible, it says for us to fellowship with each other,” said Arce, “and for that to happen, there has to be more than one person– the Bible says ‘wherever two or more are gathered, the Father is with thee’, so, with that being said it’s really important that us as Christians come together.”
He continued, “We not only hang-out, but we talk about the goodness of God, and speak about the word and we have a fun time doing it.”
