If you missed the first ever Tunes ‘N Trucks on June 21, don’t worry! Tunes ‘N Trucks is coming back to Downtown Cuero Friday, August 9 with more food, music, and fun for the whole family.
With a total of 8 food trucks and 3 music performers, Tunes ‘N Trucks has already doubled in size, and as if that wasn’t enough, Cuero Turkeyfest has joined in on the festivities and will be selecting this years’ Ruby Begonia via turkey race, and will announce the official 2019 Cuero turkey racing team, along with the Cuero Chamber of Commerce holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new 2019 Miss Cuero parade float.
“These additional activities will allow for the community to be a part of events, like the Ruby selection, that they may not normally have been,” said event organizer Katelynn Corpron.
The festivities will start at 6 p.m with singer Devyn Whittington at the Cuero Market Pavilion at 210 East Main Street; at 7:30 p.m. turkeys will race in order to select Ruby Begonia to represent Cuero for this years’ turkey racing events held in Minnesota and at Cuero’s Turkeyfest.
After the Turkeyfest Race Team is announced and the ribbon cutting ceremony, Matt Moeller will play from 8- 10 p.m., with Mitchell Crain taking the stage from 9-9:20 p.m.
The event is BYOB, no glass, and BYOLC (bring your own lawn chair), and will feature various lawn games and the opportunity to watch the local bats come out of the bat house at dusk.
