Class 2A Division II Bi-District matchup between the Yorktown Wildcats and Sabinal Yellowjackets is scheduled for Nov. 11. The game is scheduled to take place at Eschenburg Stadium in Floresville, Texas. Sabinal is returning six offensive and three defensive starters off last years squad that went 5-4. The Yellowjackets defense will be led by strong linebackers Eddy Beza (90 tackles, 10TFL) and Jacob Hill (70 tackles, 5TFL). Last year’s team had some younger players that will try to utilize their experience this season.  Feliciano Nira recorded 30 tackles as a sophomore while Richard Gonzales tallied 30 tackles and 5TFL as a freshman.  Both will use last year’s gained experience in hopes of having big games against the Wildcats. This year’s team is 3-2 in district play having won to Benavides (49-12), LaPryor (46-0), and Charlotte (33-6).  Their losses were dealt by D’Hanis and Bruni. Senior Noah Rodiriguez has accumulated 668 passing yards and 58 rushing yards. Sabinal will look to run the ball. Israel Gonzales has totaled 908 rushing yards while Johnny Rodriguez is their leading receiver with 39 yards.
