22 active COVID-19 cases in DeWitt County

DeWitt County health officials are reporting three new cases of coronavirus. All of the individuals are isolated and recovering at home. 

Case number 48 is a 14 month-old male child living with parents in the city of Cuero. His infection is attributable to household exposure related to out-of-town travel. 

Case number 49 is a 23 year-old female living in the city of Yorktown. Her infection is attributable to community spread while visiting Victoria. 

Case number 50 is a 47 year-old female living in the city of Cuero. Her exposure is attributable to community spread and could be work related. 

A total of 50 cases have been diagnosed in DeWitt County since Governor Greg Abbott declared a state of emergency on March 13, 2020.

Twenty-two individuals, including these diagnosed cases, are isolating at home. Three are considered inpatients of medical facilities in Victoria. Twenty-four have recovered. One death in the county is attributed to COVID-19 infection of an individual with comorbidity.
