35 years of dance

Avis Ann Blain was only four-years-old when she fell in love with dance. She started taking lessons at Miss Zeta’s studio here in Cuero before later opening her own school of dance. Thirty-five years later, her passion for dance remains.

“She was like bigger than life to me,” Blain recalled of her first teacher, Miss Zeta. 

Blain took dance through high school, then went to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville and majored in elementary education with a minor in dance.

“I just kinda danced all over, and every time I got a chance I did,” Blain said.
