Celebrating 50 years of historic turkey racing in Cuero, as well as headlining musical acts, entertainment and carnival fun, Turkeyfest returns the second weekend in October and tickets are now on sale for the weekend event at www.turkeyfest.org.

“The Cuero Turkeyfest Board of Directors encourage you to save the dates for this historic Turkeyfest - Oct. 7-9 - and to get your pre-sale tickets online,” said Brenda Martin, Turkeyfest Board of Directors President. “Headliners for our 50th Annual Turkeyfest include Austin Meade, Giovannie & The Hired Guns, Shenandoah, Los Texmaniacs, Flatland Cavalry, Diamond Rio and more.”

As in years past, Turkeyfest will offer free admission for children 12 and under and Sunday admission is free. The carnival offers free access and tickets are required to enter the gated concert and vendor area.

“We are thrilled to offer an online ticket option this year, which can be easily accessed by visiting our website, www.turkeyfest.org,” said ShaNon Henson, Turkeyfest Board of Directors and member of the 2022 Race Team. “Our weekend pass (Oct. 7 & 8) is $35, Friday only (Oct. 7) is $20 and Saturday only (Oct. 8) is $20 if you attend before 5 p.m. and $30 after the 5 p.m. mark.” Henson noted that all online tickets will also have a minimal processing fee applied.

“Cuero Turkeyfest’s Board of Directors invites the community to join the celebration 50 years in the making and it is going to be BIG,” said Martin. “This is a special year as we celebrate 50 years of our Ruby Begonia racing and we don’t want you to miss the excitement and our incredible entertainment! This is what Cuero’s Turkeyfest is all about - turkeys, traditions and family fun, uniting our community and celebrating the love of Cuero.”
