The regular and annual meetings of the Cuero Regional Hospital board took place on Thursday, May 26, at 5:30 p.m.
First, the annual meeting was held to administer the oaths of office to newly elected members. Charles W. Papacek and Faye Sheppard both ran unopposed and were sworn in. The election of officers was also held and Dr. Frels was elected chairman, Mrs. Faye Sheppard vice chairman and Mr. Papacek secretary. Next were committee appointments. Cindy Sheppard and Faye Sheppard were appointed to the bylaws/contracts committee, Dr. Frels and Mr. Papacek to the foundation committee, Dr. Frels and Mr. Wheeler to the physicians/clinics committee, Cindy Sheppard and Mr. Papacek to the scholarship committee, Faye Sheppard and Mr. Wheeler to the building committee and Faye Sheppard and Mr. Papacek to the finance committee.
Lastly, Dr. Sheryl Harvey was appointed as chief of staff, Dr. Kevin Denton as vice chief of staff and Dr. Jennifer Gonzales as secretary. The board then adjourned into the regular meeting.
