The Cuero Record

As the next journey is rapidly approaching for the 2022 graduating seniors of Cuero High School, Kendal Trevino is ready to embrace her next chapter in life. She will soon be making the shift from the Turkey Capital of the World to Baton Rouge, where she will be attending Louisiana State University.

Being born and raised in a small tight-knit community like Cuero is one of the several things Trevino is grateful for. Attending Cuero ISD schools all her life has helped mold her into who she is today, and who she will become in the future.

“I am really appreciative of Cuero as a community. The way everyone gets together for football and everything like that it’s just a really loving environment to grow up in,” acknowledged Trevino.

Trevino’s past four years of high school have been a balancing act with a very busy schedule. She credits her time management for helping to maintain an impressive standing in the classroom, all while being engaged in several extracurricular activities.

“Academics-wise, probably the hardest thing was time management since I was involved in so many things,” said Trevino. “That was definitely the hardest thing [about high school], once I got to it, it wasn’t hard for me, but it was just a matter of getting to it with all the other things I had to do.”
