Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum writing workshop
By Robert Proctor
Several years in the making, a writing workshop is planned for Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum (CTHM). History and heritage will be the focus of the event, led by Terri Schexnayder.
“I have to go back about four years, because that is when I first met Robert Oliver, chair of the CTHM,” Schexnayder recalled. “As the former office manager for Preservation Texas in Austin, I had the honor of driving to Cuero to present Robert and the board with an award for their stellar preservation efforts. When I experienced the museum, toured the Knights of Pythias Hall, and discovered the quaint town of Cuero, I became passionate about what was happening there.”
