Christmas comes to life in downtown Cuero

By Cameron Wallace

The Cuero Record

It wasn’t just the lights on the Christmas tree that lit up this past weekend, it was the light in the eyes of children and families.

Christmas in Downtown Cuero 2021, presented by Cuero Main Street, turned Main Street into a winter wonderland.

Skating, sledding, reindeer, horse-drawn carriage rides, and Santa Claus combined with a drop in temperatures, all made a perfect combination to bring the Christmas spirit to life.

According to Sandra Osman of Cuero Main Street,  “We are so happy with the success of Christmas in Downtown 2021. Wild winds created a slow start on Saturday, but that turned into “Christmas Cool”, and families from all around south central Texas had a wonderful time.”

“From our beautiful shops to the Christmas Market, pop-up vendors, rides, slides, reindeer, goats and horses, everyone enjoyed themselves. Our sincerest appreciation to all those who participated; our supportive sponsors, amazing volunteers, and most of all, the crews of the City of Cuero who make this happen, the Main Street advisory board, Promotions Committee, and Chamber of Commerce.”
