According to The Vacationer’s 2021 travel survey, more travelers are expected to travel this season, up from this time last year--if the COVID-19 Omicron variant doesn’t cause people to change their plans.
37.15 percent of adults in the country will travel between one and 99 miles. 19.3 percent will travel between 100 and 499 miles. Eight percent will travel between more than 500.
Unlike the holiday season of 2020, corona vaccines are available in the country, and more than 195 million Americans are vaccinated.
The CDC recommends avoiding unessential travel if you’re feeling sick, have been exposed to COVID 19 while unvaccinated, have tested positive for COVID-19 regardless of vaccination status, or are waiting for coronavirus test results. Don’t forget, if you’re traveling outside the United States, each country has its own protocols regarding COVID-19 protocols, so make sure you know the protocol for your destination before you travel.
