Building Brands Marketing is a full-service marketing consulting and advertising agency in Victoria, Texas. Robert Royer, BBM Founder/President, made a presentation to council to provide outsource marketing to the City of Cuero.

Royer explained that their agency could provide more services that would benefit what the city needs marketing-wise than is really capable of just one person. “Essentially (we would) provide the city with an entire marketing department for less than the cost of one marketing director. We are able to provide a full comprehensive, full-stack marketing approach that is of a lot more value to a government entity.”

He went on to state that BBM would create a full marketing plan and a strategy based on the city’s needs and focus.

Following Royer’s presentation and questions from the council, Cuero Mayor Sara Post Meyer reminded the council that a decision did not need to be made at that meeting. “We have an opportunity over the next couple of months to kind of get our thoughts together and figure out exactly how we would operate this. When we are looking at the budget and approving that budget in September, we can either decide yea or we can decide nay. It is not anything we need to decide tonight.”

Anthony Netardus took to the podium requesting $30,000 in hotel/motel tax funds for the Friar AG Center. Netardus gave council a breakdown of the major events that happened at the Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building, Friar Ag Center and the Cuero rodeo arena since October of last year. Highlighting the number of events that were held at each venue, Netardus stated that 19 major events were held at the Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building, nine of those being rentals of the space. Through promotional efforts, Netardus is hoping for more this coming year.
