Cuero ISD receives superior rating

Cuero Independent School District’s board of education held their regular monthly board meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21, which included recognition the Special Olympics team and reports from administration, among other items. A public meeting was held at the start to discuss the 2018-2019 Financial Integrity System of Texas (FIRST) Report.
Cuero ISD received a superior rating of 94 out of 100. During the open forum, Cynthia Aleman and Kim Clutter were on hand to represent the Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA). Aleman presented the board with a magazine from the association, which provides teachers with pertinent information specifically related to Texas teachers.
Aleman also told the board that she and Clutter would be available as resources to Cuero ISD teachers, if needed. The Cuero ISD Special Olympics team was recognized by the board for their recent success. Program manager Peggy Schorre talked about her athletes’ and the medals they’ve won at bocce competitions.
