Cuero Junior High Robotics team advancing to state competition
On Saturday, Jan. 12, the Cuero Junior High School (CJHS) Robotics program traveled to Goliad to compete in the Area 3 Texas Computer Educators Association (TCEA) Robotics contest. Students formed three teams and competed in two different categories: Intermediate Arena and Intermediate Inventions. The intermediate level is open to grades 4-8. Two teams competed in the Intermediate Arena category, where students are given a series of difficult tasks several months ahead of time. Arena teams must design, build, and program a robot to perform as many of the assigned tasks as possible within two minutes. They receive points for each completed task. They perform this challenge three times and receive an average score from their three rounds.
