DeWitt County Taxpayers League met Monday, April 29 to hold a public forum meeting at the Cuero Municipal Park Clubhouse. The main focus of this meeting was to inform the public on how to properly read the property card, and how to protest the DeWitt County Appraisal District. To start out, Bryce Dolan handed out sample property cards to those that did not bring their own, that way the entire audience could follow along.

A few items to note on the card were what the acronyms stood for, and the accuracy of dimensions of the house.

Few of those in attendance spoke out about questions they had regarding their cards, which were then answered by either Dolan,or Andrew Abrameit.

Up next, Henry Luddeke, a former member of the DeWitt County Appraisal District, spoke to the crowd about what steps to take if they wanted to protest their property tax appraisals.
