Early voting underway for state general election

Registered voters in DeWitt County will have a say about who the state’s leaders will be, including the Governor and U.S. Representative, in the Nov. 8 General Election.

Early voting began Monday and will continue through Nov. 4. Early voting will be held at the DeWitt County Weber Annex, 115 North Gonzales St., Suite A, Cuero. Voting will be Oct. 24-28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including the lunch hour.

The voting office will also be open Saturday, Oct. 29, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for early voting. Polls will also be open Oct. 31 through Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. including the lunch hour.

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, voting will be held at the Cuero Regional Hospital Education Classroom, 2550 N. Esplanade in Cuero; the Harry O. Gibson Center, 712 Forest St. in Yoakum; St. Paul Lutheran Church, 234 N. Gohmert St. in Yorktown; and St. John Lutheran Church, 1764 Meyersville Rd. in Meyersville. Voting will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

DeWitt County is County-wide Polling, meaning you may vote at any of the seven polling places on Election Day, even if it is not your voting precinct.
