Fabian Olguin left his mark

Games will fade into memory, but everyone has the opportunity to make an impact that will resonate after they are gone. Fabian Olguin left his mark, not only on Cuero High School, but everyone he came in contact with over the course of his life.
Oct. 24, 2017 marks two years since the tragic loss of the former Cuero athlete and friend.
Fabian’s family cherishes his memories in many ways: one tangible way they were able to share his lasting impact was by donating $5,000 to the CHS athletic department and starting a $1,500 scholarship in his memory.
“If someone would shout out number 23, most people would refer to Michael Jordan, but for former residents of the small town known as Cuero, Texas, number 23 symbolized so much more,” his wife, Monica, stated. “It meant a son, brother, grandson, husband, uncle and father.”
