The last Western Days festival was in 2019, due to the pandemic, and this year it feels like organizers are making up for that lost time.

This year’s schedule is, once again, full of events for all ages. From carnival to cantina, from tractors to Justin Trevino, the possibility of finding something that causes you to stop and watch--or take part in--is there every day.

The carnival opens at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, and runs all weekend. On Friday evening, Oct. 15, the fun starts at five with mechanical bull riding; DJ Val starts spinning music at 7:30 p.m., and Friday night’s headlining show, starting at 10:30 p.m., belongs to Texas legend, Larry Joe Taylor.

Saturday, Oct. 16, is filled with hay drives, tractor shows, “Ole West” gunfighters, mutton bustin’ and pig scrambles.
