Grass fire destroys barn structure, vehicles

Cuero Fire Department responded to a grass fire early last Thursday afternoon, Sept. 23.

Upon arrival at the property, located at 2819 Old Yoakum Road, CFD found the fire spreading quickly due to shifting winds and dry conditions; The fire also destroyed a barn structure and two vehicles; but thanks to Fire Department efforts, no damage to the home was reported, and there were no injuries.
